The historic Peaks to Portland Swim to benefit Kids is known worldwide, with swimmers traveling from far and wide each year to participate in one of the most notable open water swimming competitions. The athletic challenge is only part of the story.
Since 1981, Peaks to Portland has been the most significant annual fundraising event for the YMCA of Southern Maine, specifically to benefit youth programming. In fact, because of swimmers like you and the funds you raise, 10,000 children learn who they are and what they can achieve each year at the Y. We help kids develop character, confidence, and independence – strengths they need now, in this uncertain world, more than ever. And we can do this only with your help and perseverance. Thank you for representing the best of us as we come together in support of our kids.
As we continue to be there for our community and and meet the challenges of this pandemic first-hand, or work to provide kids with opportunities to learn resiliency and reach their full potential is more critical than it has ever been. We can't do this work without your partnership. Know that every stroke you swim and every dollar you raise will directly benefit kids in our community.
